Accounting

Using Accounting Software
For a small business to keep track of accounts a simple accounting package for business is often what is needed. Once set up to specifically suit the particular business the business owner can issue invoices, record bills and payments and track payments in and out of the accounts. Most importantly it has a range of reporting functions that allow analysis of the business position at any one time, and allows detailed reports of each type of account, income and expense, bank and equity. The small business will still need to have an accountant to sort out the end of year accounts if you are a limited company there are legal requirements of reporting. There are versions of Sage accounts and QuickBooks accounts suitable for a small business and ideally the new user should undertake some basic training on the software before setting it up if he or she has had no previous accounting experience.
For the Freelancer or Contractor there is a much simpler answer for those with limited numbers of customers and contracts, where there are few transactions requiring the sophistication of accounting analysis? For many of them they could benefit from using an umbrella company. These act as employers for Freelancers or Contractors and will deal with their contracts and pay the individual through the payroll every month. The company undertakes all retunes for the Inland Revenue saving much hassle and time. To find more information it would be worth contacting MSL Payroll .
